Robber, 15, shot by pizza deliverer

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say a 15-year-old was shot by a pizza delivery person after the teen attempted to rob him Friday night.
IMPD officers responded to the area of 36th Place and Richelieu Drive around 7:15 p.m. to the report of a person shot.
Police learned a pizza delivery man arrived to deliver a pizza when he was approached by two males. One suspect took the pizza while the second suspect pointed a gun at the delivery man.
The pizza delivery man then fired shots with his own weapon at one suspect, hitting him, according to a release.
Police say the second suspect dropped the pizza and ran.
The 15-year-old injured suspect was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
