INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Two teenagers are in custody after a crime spree on the south side that ended in Brownsburg when vehicles crashed at the end of a police chase.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said in an informal briefing Wednesday afternoon that they have arrested two boys, ages 15 and 17.
The boys are believed to be responsible for a number of crimes committed on Tuesday and Wednesday, including a homicide on the south side Wednesday morning and the shooting of a man walking his dog that preceded a police chase. IMPD officials didn’t discuss other crimes they thought may have involved the teens.

IMPD officials said residents on the south side can rest assured that the suspects involved in recent crimes are off the streets.
Both boys were arrested on preliminary charges of dangerous possession of a firearm and resisting law enforcement. IMPD officials said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
The 15-year-old was being questioned by police Wednesday afternoon and the 17-year-old was getting medical attention.
