LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) - Three people have been charged after police said they used counterfeit money at stores around Lafayette.
24-Hour News 8 news partner WLFI-TV reports the three were buying items at area stores with counterfeit cash, then returning the items for cash, according to court documents.
Vashuan Hannah, 23, West Lafayette, faces preliminary charges of conspiracy to commit forgery, forgery, false informing and theft. Scotty Gatlin, 40, Chicago, and Donilla Dismukes, 26, West Lafayette, face preliminary charges of conspiracy to commit forgery.
Lafayette Police Department said the investigation is ongoing.
