INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Tim Durham is appealing after being sentenced to 50 years in prison for running a ponzi scheme that bilked 5,000 investors out of more than $200 million.
Durham was found guilty in June of 12 criminal counts, including fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.
Although prosecutors wanted him to be sentenced to 225 years, a judge instead sentenced him to 50 years in prison.
Durham’s attorneys filed his appeal on Friday.
