INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Tim Durham, the man found guilty of fraud in connection to a ponzi scheme, will be sentenced on Friday in federal court.
Durham’s associates, James Cochran and Rick Snow, will also be sentenced.
The trio bilked investors out of $200 million.
Defense attorneys are recommending a 225-year prison sentence for Durham, though his attorney has called the proposal “absurd” in court documents.
The sentencing before U.S. District Court Judge Magna Stinson will last several hours. The judge will hear from the defendants and victims before sentencing the men.
In June 2012, a jury found Durham guilty of 12 charges, Cochran guilty of eight charges and Snow guilty on five charges.
