Toddler, infant found home alone

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - The Kokomo Police Department arrested a Kokomo mother for leaving her toddler and infant home alone, confined to separate bedrooms.

Polcie were called to the Garden Square Apartments in the 800 block of East Hoffer Street in regards to two small children left home alone. When officers arrived to the apartment complex, they found the children in separate bedrooms. The three year old was found in a room with the door tied shut with an extension chord.

The children's mother, 32-year-old Linda Wiliams, was located at a local business. Williams was arrested for neglect of a dependent and transported to the Howard County Jail.

The two children are currently in the care of child protective services.
