KNOX CO., Ind. (WTHI) - On Friday night, Edwardsport Marshal’s Office Deputies pulled over a car near the intersection of S.R. 67 and Jackson Street in Edwardsport, Ind.  The deputies noticed the license plate was obstructed.

Deputies Kevin Abrams and Kent Van Wey found Chelsie Davis of Monroe City, Ind. was driving with Brandon Crowe of Washington, Ind. as her passenger.

Initially, for an unknown reason, Crowe fled on foot and was able to avoid being caught after deputies chased for a short while. The only description released on Crowe was that he was wearing a dark colored shirt and camouflage pants.

After they interviewed Davis, and pulled Crowe’s criminal history, the deputies discovered Crowe was wanted on a prior warrant and believe he may be armed.

That belief stems from the deputies having discovered a loaded rifle stored under the baby seat in the car.

The information on the previous warrant has not been released.

The deputies put out Crowe’s information to local dispatch and soon received help from the Bicknell Police Department, the Indiana State Police and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department with the search.

Bicknell Police briefly located Crowe, whom had obtained a four-wheeler and eluded capture once again.

The Edwardsport Deputies arrested Davis for Assisting a Criminal and are requesting an additional warrant be added for Crowe’s arrest.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Brandon Crowe, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (812) 238-STOP.
