NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) - A clash between truck drivers at a New Castle truck stop landed one of the drivers in jail Sunday night.
Around 9 p.m. Sunday, dispatchers in Henry County got a call from a truck driver who reported being threatened by another driver at the Flying J truck Stop on State Road 3, just off of Interstate 70.
Indiana State Police say the driver followed the man he said threatened him. Officers caught up with both trucks and found a loaded, cocked pistol on the floor next to the driver accused of threatening the other driver, ISP officials said.
Troopers arrested 57-year-old Tony L. Whitlock, of Diana, Texas, on preliminary charges of intimidation and possession of a handgun without a permit.
Police weren’t sure what sparked the disagreement.
