BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Two suspects have been arrested after a truck was stolen in Boone County.
Indiana State Police say that around 11:20 a.m. Thursday, troopers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in Whitestown.
Zionsville Police officers located the car near CR 975 E. and CR 375 S. for a seatbelt violation.
After investigating, it was found that the driver, 29-year-old Devin Antuan Johnson, and passenger 31-year-old Jerry D. Foster, both had suspended driver’s licenses and outstanding warrants.
Johnson was wanted for a probation violation for theft and false informing in Clark County and Foster’s warrant was out of Marion County for driving while suspended and possession of marijuana.
Investigators found the truck they were driving was reported stolen out of Hancock County. The dealer plate was stolen from an Indianapolis car dealership.
Troopers also found a handgun inside of the truck.
Johnson has been preliminarily charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a stolen plate and illegal possession of a handgun.
Both men were taken to the Boone County Jail.
