FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - Fishers police have arrested two people who they believe may be responsible for multiple thefts in Marion and Hamilton counties.

Rogar Simmons and Michelle Doehring were arrested Tuesday evening after employees at the Kittles distribution center said they tried to buy furniture using fraudulent information. Both face a preliminary charge of theft.

Another man with them at the facility left the scene in a passenger van as officers approached, Fisher Police Department said. Officers followed him and stopped the van, but the man ran into the parking lot of a nearby Walmart, where police lost sight of him.

The investigation is ongoing, FPD said, and additional charges may be filed.
