AVON (WISH) - Avon police say an armed robbery caught on camera at a pizza place earlier this week was an inside job.

Rameil S. Pitamber, 17, and Derrek T. Berryhill, 18, were arrested Tuesday after police connected Pitamber to the Little Caesars Pizza robbery, 10976 U.S. 36, Avon, with evidence found at the scene.

The men were charged in the Hendricks County Circuit Court Thursday. Although Pitamber, a Ben Davis High School student, is a juvenile, he is being charged as an adult.

According to a press release, Berryhill provided Pitamber with information about the restaurant and the employees that would be working at the time of robbery.

Pitamber went into the store on Saturday night and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. Officials say a robber forced the workers to tie each other up with zip-ties before he fled the restaurant.

"They were terrified. They were shook up and it took a while to get them calmed down to interview them and to walk them through the crime scene," said Avon Police Assistant Chief Bill Weems.

Investigators were able to recover some of the money that was stolen during the robbery. The amount of cash taken was not disclosed.

Both suspects are being held at the Hendricks County Jail as of Thursday.
