INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - New development in Thursday's armed robbery of a Family Dollar. Minutes after the robbery, the suspects’ vehicle crashed into the Stepping Stones Child Care center on the northeast side.

Police recently released a photo of a third man they want to talk to in connection with the robbery.

Police describe 28-year-old Nathaniel Harris as a violent offender.

A police report suggests officers found identification belonging to Harris in the suspects get away car.

Friday morning, police released mug shots of the two suspects they arrested shortly after the day care crash. They are identified as 21-year-old Darron Crowe and 19-year-old Theo Sanford. Both face charges of robbery and fleeing law enforcement.

The two men are currently being held in the Marion County Jail.

24-Hour News 8 obtained surveillance video taken inside the Family Dollar store. The video shows two armed men entering the store and robbing the store clerk. IMPD detectives said the two men were inside the store for at least 2 and a half minutes.

Several 911 calls were made during the robbery. Some were made from inside the store and others from businesses nearby.

After the robbery, the suspects fled and led police on a short chase. According to police the suspects were travelling at a high rate of speed when they ignored a red light at the intersection of 46th and Allisonville. Police say the suspects car hit another vehicle at the intersection but kept heading south on Allisonville. The officer in pursuit of the suspects watched as the Jeep veered off the road and slammed into the day care center.

Four children and one adult from the day care were taken to the hospital. Police say one child remains at Methodist hospital in serious but stable condition.

New place for day care after bad crash

The owners of Stepping Stones Day Care told parents to bring their children to another building while the old building is being repaired.

The new location is 5060 East 62nd Street.

Authorities said the crash could have been much worse.

17 kids there at the time of the crash, could've been more had the other children not been on a field trip.

“It's hectic to see on television. It's surreal and then you think, oh my God my granddaughter is there. You rush over and you can't get past the tape and everyone says stay back,” said Reggie Holt, a grandfather.

Doors opened at 5 a.m. on Friday at the new location. No word yet as to when Stepping Stones Day Care will re-open.
