Weapons, drugs seized after arrest

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - While making an arrest on a man wanted for battery, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department seized firearms and drugs.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 20-year-old Santana Kendall on the 900 block of North Dearborn Street on an arrest warrant for felony battery and domestic battery.
While making the arrest, deputies also found a loaded assault rifle, loaded handgun, approximately five pounds of marijuana, prescription pills, ammunition, scales, and about $800 in cash, according to a release.
Deputies ruled Kendall's 2-year-old son was endangered, as he was in close proximately to the loaded weapons and drugs.
The child was released to his mother.
Kendall was arrested and preliminarily charged with neglect of a dependent, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
