INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A woman pleaded guilty Monday morning after being accused of trying to take money from two funds set up for victims of the stage rigging collapse at the Indiana State Fair.
Stephanie Murry was charged along with her aunt Sanra Hurn for trying to take the funds. But the two were never at the concert where the stage rigging tumbled onto fans, according to authorities. The duo reportedly tried to take $22,500 from the funds.
Murry on Monday pleaded guilty to forgery and perjury. As part of a plea agreement, an original charge of theft was dropped.
A sentencing hearing for Murry is scheduled for Oct. 5.
