LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette woman faces felony charges after detectives said she racked up a $32 bill at Village Pantry with a rebate card that didn't belong to her.
32-year-old Amber Kennedy has been charged with forgery and receiving stolen property.
According to court documents, the victim received the $50 American Express Sprint card after buying a cell phone for her son. She later realized it was missing and reported it stolen.
Surveillance footage from the Village Pantry shows Kennedy completing a transaction using the same card earlier this month.
