INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis woman is behind bars after police said she intentionally rear-ended the car of a nine-month pregnant woman in a fast food drive-thru.

Officers arrested Dicie Jaco, 58, on Wednesday. According to police reports, Jaco was in a blue SUV in the drive-thru line at a Wendy’s restaurant in the 5200 block of East Thompson Road when she accidentally rear-ended the car in front of her, driven by Rebecca Hull, 33. Hull told officers she is 38 weeks pregnant.

Witnesses reported that Hull pulled into a nearby parking space to check for damage and asked Jaco to exchange insurance information. Jaco allegedly refused, saying there was no damage to Hull’s vehicle.

When Hull stated that she had called the police to file a report, witnesses and employees at the restaurant said Jaco backed up and “floored it,” hitting Hull’s car while she was inside it. When asked by officers why she had hit the car a second time, Jaco replied “because there ain’t no damage to her car, and I’m mad.” Jaco also told officers she was “having a bad day and nothing was going right,” according to reports.

Police reported neither vehicle was seriously damaged, but Hull complained of head and neck pain at the scene. She said she was also concerned about the health of her baby. A friend drove her to the hospital to be checked out, according to police reports.

Jaco was arrested and charged with battery and criminal recklessness.
