GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - Two women listed on a website were arrested Wednesday by police detectives investigating prostitution in Greenwood.
Officers found the women on the same website where another person was discovered and arrested Tuesday. The site is used to list potential escorts and prostitutes.
Greenwood Police Department and the Vice Squad from Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department worked together on the case. An undercover detective called a number on the website and arranged a meeting — during which time a woman asked if he was a cop, police officials say.
The officer met two women at the InTown Suites in Greenwood and they ushered him into a room, police officials said. After agreeing to perform sex acts for $200, the women stripped down. Shortly after, a man opened the door and apologized, saying he wasn’t aware the women were busy.
“It’s OK. It’s just my husband; he knows what we do,” one of the women told the undercover officer, police officials say.
Shortly after, the undercover detective called in other officers to arrest the two women.
Nicole D. Fortner, 30, and Dianna F. Nicley, 37, both of Indianapolis, were arrested on preliminary charges of prostitution. Fortner faces another charge of possession of a controlled substance after officers found a bottle of hydrocodone in her purse. There was a warrant out of Fortner’s arrest in Marion County.
