Voters in Hamilton County have overwhelmingly approved the $5.5 million Hamilton Southeastern Schools referendum. Eighty-two percent of the over 10,000 voters supported the referendum.
The school district said without the referendum, teachers will be cut and class sizes will grow.
For homeowners, the referendum means a seven-year property tax bump at 10 cents of every $100.
