FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) - Students at Franklin Central High School won't be reading Nobel Prize winning novelist Toni Morrison's book, " Song of Solomon ."
A parent complained that the content of the book was inappropriate.
Fifty juniors had been asked to read the book as part of two advanced placement English classes but a parent complained that the content of the book was inappropriate.
Franklin Township School Board member Scott Veerkamp said there are depictions of sex, profanity, demeaning language and suicide in the book that he found offensive.
