MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - Ball State University had to evacuate some buildings on campus for a gas leak in the middle of the night.

The university sent alerts to students early Thursday morning about the incident.

“Gas leak at AJ. Avoid campus Petty to Riverside, McKinley Ave to the east Meadow Lane to the west. Necessary buildings evacuated,” the first alert said, around 4 a.m.

About a half hour later, the university sent an alert that the gas leak was resolved.

It’s unclear how many people had to be evacuated from buildings.
