Heat Advisory issued ahead of PM temps

INDIANAPOLIS (FORECAST 8) - A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of Indiana as the heat index will climb over 100 degrees Wednesday.

Forecast 8 meteorologist Ken Brewer says temperatures today “will climb into the low 90’s but when you factor in the humidity it will feel like it’s over 100 outside.”

The Heat Advisory goes into effect at 1 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

If you have outdoor plans it’s best to try to reschedule them. If you have to be outside for extended periods of time, you should drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.
