INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police say a man is in critical condition following a crash on I-70 that resulted from a high-speed chase early Friday morning.
Officers say they tried to pull over a man speeding on a motorcycle around 2:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Lafayette Road. They say the man would not pull over and drove into the southbound lanes of I-65.
Police followed him from I-65 to eastbound to I-70 where speeds topped 100 miles per hour.
According to police, the man then left the interstate and changed directions, entering the westbound lanes of I-70, where he lost control and hit a guardrail.
Medics took the man to Wishard Hospital in critical condition.
Officers had I-70 closed for about an hour early Friday.
