SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WISH) - A routine traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road Thursday morning netted $40,000 worth of ecstasy pills, nearly $10,000 cash and an amount of marijuana.
Indiana State Trooper Pete Bradley stopped a Mitsubishi Lancer near the 71-mile marker in South Bend, Ind. when he noticed marijuana in the passenger side door.
Bradley returned to his car and released his K-9 partner, Rex, to search the vehicle.
The driver, 21-year-old Michelle L. Meyer, and passenger, 28-year-old Shawn C. Wright of Mishawaka, Ind., were both arrested on multiple drug charges.
Indiana State Police say the 2,000 pills of ecstasy have an estimate street value of $40,000.
