RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Raw chicken mixed with vegetables prompted Indiana State Police officials to destroy 200 pounds of food found in a truck Saturday morning, according to an ISP news release.

Police found the truck on Interstate 74 in Ripley County around 9:30 a.m. When a trooper stopped the truck to inspect it, brown liquid spewed out the back door.

Inside the truck, the trooper found raw chicken sitting on open boxes of vegetables and egg roll wrappers. The food was headed for Chinese restaurants in Mooresville, Avon, Plainfield and Indianapolis.

The food was destroyed. The driver and his truck were cited for 11 other violations.
