VEVAY, Ind. (AP) - A 4-year-old girl has died after being thrown off an all-terrain vehicle that rolled over on a hill while she was riding with her brother and father in southeastern Indiana.
Indiana Conservation Officer Zach Walker says the girl was pronounced dead at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where she was flown following Saturday's crash in Switzerland County.
The agency say the three were riding together when the father lost control of the ATV going up a small hill and the vehicle overturned, throwing them off. The girl's 7-year-old brother wasn't injured.
Walker says the children's father had broken ribs and that none of the riders was wearing safety equipment.
