MONTICELLO, Ind. (WISH) - A building in the town of Monticello went up in flames Tuesday night.
The fire started around 7:00 p.m. at the Hall's Mall building in Monticello. The warehouse is located downtown, at 222 E Marion Street.
Monticello Police Department Captain Kyle Peterson said the warehouse is filled with shipping pallets.
When the fire started, emergency crews evacuated 20 homes in the area.
Peterson said firefighters seemed to have the blaze under control but the flames picked back up around 8:15 p.m.
A number of fire departments worked to get the fire under
control Tuesday night including, Monticello, Monon, Logansport,
Idaville, Delphi and Buffalo.
