INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indiana Department of Revenue has released the new income
tax rates for all 92 Indiana counties.
It's a preliminary list for those county income tax rates
that become effective Oct. 1. However, state law allows counties
this year to adopt new rates until Oct. 30.
The information is of particular interest to businesses,
which will need to begin applying the new rates to employee tax
withholdings in counties where rates have changed.
Counties that have adopted county income tax rate changes so
far this year include Carroll, Grant, Hancock, Lawrence, Monroe,
Parke, St. Joseph and Wabash.
Bartholomew and Posey counties also adopted the county
economic development income tax.
