INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Three brothers from Indiana are standing up for the rights of men to be men. The Longanecker brothers were in Indianapolis Monday campaigning for National Man Day, a day for men to shun responsibility and do…manly stuff.
"Well we don't have (many specific suggestions). Anything manly...chopping wood," says Aaron Longanecker.
Other manly suggestions? Drink a beer, eat an 18-ounce steak and
watch all the Rambo movies back-to-back from a new recliner where
you can scratch yourself in manly places. Just get out there and be
a man, but don't expect a greeting card.

Man Day Facebook page
"We've gotten a petition out for actually making it a real holiday," said Joel Longanecker. "As far as contacting Hallmark, no we haven't done anything like that."
"The other 364 days a year are when you be a man, be a good dad, go to work on time. You take responsibility for everything," said Josh Longanecker. "Man day is that one day a year to give men that outlet they need."
Indianapolis radio host Eddie White hadn't heard of National Man Day when 24-Hour News 8 visited him in the studios of 1070 The Fan.
"So did you bring like...dancers in for us or something?" he asked.
But 1070 The Fan's Mark Boyle is skeptical.
"I'm not interested in Man Day unless I can get something out of it," says Boyle. "What does it do for me? Am I going to get a gift?"
Judy from the east side wouldn't reveal her last name but will stand by her man.
"I'd fix him a nice breakfast, have a hot cup of coffee waiting for him," said Judy. "When he came home from work I'd have a nice warm dinner for him."
But Judy isn't exactly on board with National Man Day.
"Because there's not a National Woman Day, and we do things seven days a week, 24/7, 365 days a year," she said.
So men, get out there and enjoy it while you still can.
Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White was found guilty early Saturday morning…
