ROCKPORT, Ind. (AP) - State police say detectives are conducting a criminal
investigation into the death of a 15-year-old southern Indiana girl
whose body was found behind a shed near her home nearly 24 hours
after she was last seen.
Authorities said they were working Tuesday to determine the
cause of death for Alexis Oesterle, who lived in the Ohio River
town of Rockport.
Spencer County Sheriff's Department deputies arrived at the
girl's home Monday night on a report that she was missing. They
were told she had been last seen about 10 p.m. Sunday.
State police say a deputy searching the area around her home
found the body about 9:30 p.m.
A health care battle is heating up in Washington and here in Indianapolis.
