CHARLESTOWN, Ind. (AP) - A consortium of agencies responding to last month's tornadoes has organized to plan long-term recovery in the five stricken counties in southern Indiana.
The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., reports ( http://cjky.it/I7T50g ) the group called March2Recovery includes representatives from more than two dozen governmental agencies, aid organizations like Metro United Way and the American Red Cross, and faith-based groups like the Salvation Army.
The affected Indiana counties include Clark, Ripley, Scott, Jefferson and Washington.
March2Recovery is recruiting case managers, both paid and volunteer, to help those who suffered losses during the tornado find assistance.
Training sessions for case managers are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at the Holton Community Center in Ripley County and Friday and Saturday at the Country Lake Christian Retreat in Clark County.
