INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Hoosiers looking for information from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles can now get it on their phones.

The BMV has launched an app for Apple and Android phones that allows people to renew their registration and license plates. A branch locator and information on hours for BMV locations is also available.

“We know that an increasing number of BMV customers are using their phones and other mobile devices to conduct many forms of business, and we wanted to make BMV transactions just as convenient,” BMV Commissioner R. Scott Waddell said in a news release.

Users can search “mvBMV” in their app store, or find direct links to download the apps on the BMV website .
