EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A major facelift is planned for the hotel at Evansville's casino with the aim of pulling in more out-of-town visitors.
Casino Aztar general manager Ward Shaw says the $5 million project includes replacing furniture, bedding, wall coverings, carpeting and bathrooms in all of the hotel's 251 guest rooms.
Shaw tells the Evansville Courier & Press ( http://bit.ly/J0eaWR ) that work will start this summer with most of the work finished by the end of this year.
This is the first renovation for the hotel overlooking the Ohio River since it was built 15 years ago.
Shaw says the casino also plans to add $2 million in new slot games yet this year.
