TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Many of the sacred items from a western Indiana Catholic church about to close will soon be on their way to a Kentucky church wrecked by a tornado last month.

A couple hundred people attended a Sunday Mass dubbed a homecoming service at St. Ann Parish in Terre Haute that is being closing next month.

The Tribune-Star reports ( http://bit.ly/HZek2X ) that Sister Connie Kramer told parishioners that St. Ann's would be an "organ donor" to other churches.

St. Ann's altar, baptismal font, pews, tabernacle, some candles, vestments and robes will be loaded onto a semi arriving May 22 for use by St. Luke's Catholic Church in Salyersville, Ky. That church was destroyed by the deadly March 2 storm that swept across much of Kentucky and southern Indiana.
