MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) — Northern Indiana's South Shore commuter rail line has suspended nearly all of its trains following a derailment at the commuter line's Michigan City rail yard.
The Times of Munster reports that no injuries were reported in Monday morning's derailment.
The commuter line's operator says two trains unaffected by the derailment were expected to depart the East Chicago station and make all scheduled stops for Chicago. But service for all other trains was expected to remain suspended through Monday morning's rush hour.
Chicago's Metra is accepting South Shore tickets.
