DNR to close parks for deer reduction

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Deer reduction will close 13 state parks on four different days in November, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources said Wednesday.

The dates for the closures are Nov. 13, Nov. 14, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27. The parks that will close are Chain O'Lakes, Charlestown, Fort Harrison, Harmonie, Ouabache, Prophetstown, Shades, Shakamak, Spring Mill, Tippecanoe River, Turkey Run, Versailles and Whitewater Memorial.

The parks targeted for deer reduction are selected by DNR’s biologists.
