FREMONT, Ind. (WANE) - Firefighters were called to a house fire on Jimmerson Lake in Fremont Saturday morning.

Fire crews arrived to find light smoke coming from the garage of the home at around 7:07 a.m. The fire was under control in around 15 minutes.

Firefighters determined the fire was electrical.

According to firefighters, nobody was injured in the fire, but fire crews did rescue a dog from the home. The dog was given oxygen but did not sustain any injuries.

The Angola Fire Department also rescued a box of newborn kittens that were in the basement of the home. Firefighters said the kittens were not injured.
