NEW HAVEN, Ind. (AP) - The American Legion says it will host a town hall meeting for women veterans on the overall quality of health care at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne.
The meeting will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 330 at 330 Entrance Dr. in New Haven. Representatives from the Legion's national staff will attend the meeting.
American Legion representatives will also visit the Fort Wayne VA facility to interview patients, staff and administrators.
Legion Deputy Director of Health Jacob Gadd says the veterans organization conducts site visits each year to evaluate and report on the quality of health care that veterans receive. Its next report will focus on the health care needs of women veterans.
