SEYMOUR, Ind. (WISH) - Local soldiers helped kick off an annual holiday tradition that honors fallen heroes this week.

Wednesday at the Walmart Distribution Center in Seymour, the 38th Division Band and representatives from Camp Atterbury-Muscatatuck helped kick off Wreaths Across America 2012 efforts. Walmart donated $150,000 this year to the efforts, along with the services of nearly 100 professional drivers to deliver the wreaths to their next stop.

Wreaths Across America sponsors the laying of wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers at more than 800 locations across the U.S., including Arlington National Cemetery.
