INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The man found fatally shot in a duplex on the west side of Indianapolis on Tuesday has been identified, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said all efforts to locate family for Larry Palmer, 59, had been unsuccessful. They hoped by releasing his name and a photo from 2008 that someone related to him would come forward.

Palmer was found dead in a duplex in the 3300 block of West Ninth Street, near Tibbs Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 317-327-3475.

On November 10, 2012, police were called to the other side of the duplex to investigate another homicide.
