SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — A northern Indiana foundation has given Indiana University South Bend a $4 million gift to support undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, faculty development and the creation of two positions that will focus on keeping students and helping them succeed.
The South Bend Tribune reports the school received the largest single-donor gift in its history from the Judd Leighton Foundation. The foundation is named in honor of a South Bend businessman, banker and philanthropist who died at age 95 in 2005.
The university plans to name its business school the Judd Leighton School of Business & Economics.
