Ft. Wayne woman in critical condition after stabbing in Tennessee

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne woman was stabbed in a Gatlinburg, Tennessee apartment building Thursday afternoon.

The Gatlinburg Police Department said they found Amber Leslie, 22, with multiple stab wounds inside of Hillside Motel Apartments at the 1600 block of East Parkway at around 2:30 p.m.

Officials said Leslie was air lifted to the University of Tennessee Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Police arrested Leslie's boyfriend, James Heroy III, 22, of New Haven.

According to police, Heroy was charged with attempted second degree murder. He is being held at the Sevier County Jail in Sevierville, Tennessee.
