INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Gov. Mike Pence got a flu shot on Thursday, after 27 deaths have been linked to the flu in Indiana.
The new governor said he waited until January because he was especially busy in the fall.
“I think with the appropriate national attention this is receiving and with the 27 deaths in the state of Indiana, it's a good reminder that's it's not too late to get a flu shot,” Pence said.
Health officials say anyone over 6 months old should get the vaccine, and there’s plenty of supply in Indiana.
