VINCENNES, Ind. (AP) - A Holocaust survivor who founded a Terre Haute museum dedicated to understanding the impact of hatred and prejudice will deliver a lecture Tuesday at Vincennes University.

Eva Kor's 11 a.m. speech at the school's Beckes Student Union is free and open to the public.

Kor's family was taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944 with other Jewish prisoners. She and a twin sister survived painful medical experiments overseen by the notorious Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele, but their parents and two older sisters died there.

In 1995, Kor signed a Declaration of Amnesty, forgiving the Nazis for murdering her family. The same year she founded the CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute, where she lives.

She holds a bachelor's degree in education from Indiana State University.
