ST. LEON, Ind. (AP) - All lanes of Interstate 74 in southeastern Indiana were shut down after a semi tanker hauling a hazardous chemical crashed and overturned.

State police say the tanker leaked around 10 gallons of the chemical phtalic anhydride molton after the crash Friday morning about 10 miles west of the Indiana-Ohio state line. The truck driver told troopers the tanker's 4,000 gallons of liquid shifted on uneven pavement in a construction zone and the truck hit the concrete barrier before overturning.

Police say the trucker was taken to a Cincinnati hospital with a head injury.

Police said the spilled chemical was contained and that crews were waiting to clean it up. Sgt. Noel Houze says the crash was in a rural area and that he knew of no evacuations that were needed.
