Ind. gets low ranking on health report

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana is getting low marks on a report that ranks states based on health statistics.
The state ranks 41st for health, dropping four spots from last year.
Among the reasons Indiana ranks so low is it has 1.25 million adults smoking — which is one of the highest in the U.S. The number of children in poverty also contributed to the ranking; child poverty rates doubled in Indiana in the past 10 years.
Other issues in the state include high levels of air pollution and low public health funding.
But Indiana did well in other areas. The state has a lower number of people binge drinking and a high number of people with health insurance.
