OWENSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - State police have arrested a southern Indiana woman who they say helped obtain an abortion for a 15-year-old girl without telling the teenager's guardians.
Forty-three-year-old Kacy Heath of Owensville was being held in Gibson County Jail on Friday on charges of conspiracy to commit identity theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her bond was set at $7,000 cash.
Police say the girl was impregnated by Heath's 21-year-old son, Steven King, who is being held on a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor. Heath allegedly provided false identification so the girl could get an abortion in Illinois and paid for the procedure.
Police say the girl's guardians didn't know she was pregnant.
It wasn't immediately clear if either of the Heaths had an attorney.
