Members of the Indiana House of Representatives and the state Senate are encouraging students ages 13-18 to apply to be legislative pages during the upcoming session.
Pages attend legislative floor sessions and committee meetings and help staff members. They also get to tour the governor's office and the Indiana Supreme Court.
Pages are excused from school for the day. They're responsible for their own transportation to and from the Statehouse.
Interested students are encouraged to schedule their visits quickly, as spots fill up fast. Pages are asked to include two different dates when they can go to the Statehouse through April. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days to serve. There are no pages on Fridays.
To sign up, prospective pages should contact their legislators or visit www.in.gov/legislative .
