INDOT looking to hire plow drivers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is looking to hire seasonal highway maintenance workers, and is planning a job fair Thursday to screen applicants.

The event is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at its Indianapolis Subdistrict office, 7105 Brookville Road.

Seasonal employees will operate snow plow trucks in addition to regular winter highway maintenance work, INDOT said in a news release.

Application requirements are:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a Class A or B commercial drivers license
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug test

Interested candidates must bring their resume. Interviews may be conducted on site. Candidates are also encouraged to complete an online application in advance at the Indiana State Personnel Department Job Bank under position #10065624.
