INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana financier Tim Durham and his business partner, James Cochran, will return to jail ahead of their sentencing.
Durham and Cochran were convicted on federal fraud charges last week. Their attorneys were trying to get them out of jail while they awaited sentencing.
“This is the worst white collar crime ever prosecuted in this state, “ said U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogestt. “Since these charges were brought, it has been our position that we would convict Mr. Durham and advocate that he spend the rest of his life in jail … . Today’s detention hearing is another step toward that goal.”
Durham’s attorney said the two would be sent to a federal prison while they await sentencing. However, Rick Snow - also convicted last week - will be released. The judge ruled Snow must remain on home detention while awaiting sentencing
