RIPLEY CO., Ind. (WISH) - An Indiana State Trooper’s K-9 helped found a suspect who fled police Friday night in Ripley County.
The officers contacted the Trooper and his K-9 partner, Heiko, asking them to respond to the Osgood area to assist in locating a suspect wanted on a warrant.
The police release states that a perimeter where the suspect was believed to have been had been established.
The Trooper and Heiko arrived and it only took the K-9 thirty minutes to find the suspect hiding in a yard behind a home on Cardinal Street.
Police say they arrested Andrew Hill, 19, of Osgood.
Osgood was arrested on charges from a warrant for Probation Violation for Theft and Possession of Marijuana and for Resisting Law Enforcement (Fleeing).
Hill was transported to Ripley County Jail where he was treated by medics for a minor bite injury he received during the arrest.
